From hands-on games to relaxed group experiences, each session is tailored to be inclusive, supportive, and enjoyable, helping everyone feel comfortable expressing themselves at their own pace.

What do we do?

We use creativity, storytelling and tabletop roleplay to build community, connection and key skills with neurodivergent and disabled individuals. We deliver regular groups for neurodivergent folks, as well as touring sessions for mixed groups to arts and literature festivals across the East Midlands.

All our practitioners and board members have lived experience of neurodivergence, and we are passionate about providing spaces for community and connection which work for the neurodivergent brain.

Do I need to bring or prepare anything?

Yourself and a willingness to learn, work together, and engage in a creative story!

You can bring your own set of dice if you want to – but be warned: in our experience it’s rarely easy to stop at buying one set!

You might want to bring a notebook to make some notes on the story if you think that will be helpful for you, but this isn’t essential either.

Young Person's Group

When:

Every other Thursday
5-7pm

Where:

Pendulum Gaming,
2 Westgate, Grantham, NG31 6LT

Who's it for:

Young autistic people
ages 13-18

What to expect:

When you arrive at Pendulum Gaming, you will come through the main area of the shop to get to our booked room. You may see the shop owners there, and some other customers.

When you get to the room, you can sit down where you’d like around the table. Our facilitators will welcome you, and you might meet some of the other participants.

The table will be set out with a big map in the middle, as well as something hiding the table space in front of one of our facilitator’s seats – this is called a GM screen, and means they can keep their notes and dice rolls secret from us when they need to. There will be space for you to set out anything you need for the game.

When everyone has arrived, we’ll begin the session! We’ll take a break in the middle, to stretch our legs, get drinks and so forth, but if you need to take an extra break at any point feel free to ask. Our facilitators will guide you through the story, help you with the rules and help to realise your ideas.

We may use miniature figures to represent characters on the map when it’s important to be aware of distance and directions, so that we don’t have to do so much mental maths and visualisation.

When we’re finished the length of time we have, we will end the game. We will tell the story across several sessions – so we may end on a cliffhanger.

Spaces in this group are limited and we often have a waiting list.

As the group is often full, it can be a little busy and overwhelming.

Adult Group
